# Balances

> How your Safe balance (balance_safe / locked_safe / redeemable_safe) is reported, and how it moves.

Your tradeable funds are reported as `balance_safe` and `locked_safe` — an
off-chain **mirror** of the USDC actually held in your on-chain Gnosis Safe.

## Endpoint

**`GET /api/v2/atlas/account/balances`**

Returns one row per currency. `GET /api/v2/atlas/account/balances/:currency`
returns a single row.

Every row reflects the live pools at the time of the request.

## Response fields

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `balance_safe` | Available funds mirrored from your on-chain Safe |
| `locked_safe` | Safe funds locked by your resting orders |
| `redeemable_safe` | Winnings from settled markets that have **not been redeemed yet**. The USDC is still in the ConditionalTokens contract, so this is **not spendable** until it is redeemed into your Safe — see [Redeeming winnings](/non-custodial/redeeming-winnings) |

<Note>
  The response also carries `balance` and `locked`. These belong to an operator-held balance model that Calibri does not offer — they read `"0"`. The pools that matter to you are `balance_safe` and `locked_safe`.
</Note>

## Example row

```json theme={null}
{
  "currency": "usdc",
  "balance": "0",
  "locked": "0",
  "balance_safe": "150.00",
  "locked_safe": "40.00",
  "redeemable_safe": "10.00"
}
```

## How the Safe pool moves

* **Funding** — USDC sent to your Safe address on-chain is credited to
  `balance_safe` once the transfer confirms.
* **Resting order** — placing an order locks collateral against `locked_safe`.
* **Settlement** — a winning position is credited to `redeemable_safe`, not
  `balance_safe`: the payout is still held by the ConditionalTokens contract.
* **Redemption** — redeeming (by hand or via auto-redeem) moves the USDC into
  your Safe on-chain; once it confirms, the amount moves from `redeemable_safe`
  to `balance_safe`.
* **Withdrawal** — moving USDC out of the Safe on-chain debits `balance_safe`
  and cancels any resting orders those funds collateralised.

<Warning>
  The mirror follows the chain, not the other way round. Withdrawing from your Safe directly is always allowed — but it will cancel resting orders whose collateral you have just moved.
</Warning>
