# Funding Your Account

> How funding works — USDC, and getting it into the Safe only you control.

Calibri settles everything in **USDC**, a US-dollar stablecoin with **6 decimals**
(one base unit = `0.000001` USDC). Stakes, fees, winnings, and rewards are all
denominated in USDC.

## Funding your Safe

Your funds live in **your own on-chain Safe**. Funding is simply sending USDC to
its address:

* The Safe is a **Gnosis Safe** owned solely by you — by your wallet, or by the
  signer contract derived from your passkey, plus any
  [signing key](/non-custodial/signing-keys) you add yourself. The operator
  deploys it and relays your signed orders, but **can never move funds without
  your signature** — except to carry USDC sent to your address on another network
  to your own Safe on Polygon (see [Choosing a network](#choosing-a-network)).
* You fund it by holding **USDC** in the Safe on **Polygon**. USDC you send to the
  same address on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum or Optimism is moved there for you — see
  [Choosing a network](#choosing-a-network).
* As part of Safe setup, the Safe **pre-approves** the operator to pull the taker
  fee at settlement, up to a capped amount — so you only ever *sign*; the
  operator pays gas. See [The Safe](/non-custodial/the-safe) and
  [Balances](/non-custodial/balances) for details.

How you get USDC in depends on which wallet you use
([your options](/non-custodial/wallets)):

* **Passkey wallet** — send USDC straight to your Safe address, from an exchange
  or any wallet. There is nothing else to do, and you never pay gas.
* **Your own wallet** — move USDC from your wallet into your Safe in the app.
  That transfer comes from your own wallet, so it needs a small amount of the
  network's gas token (POL on Polygon). It is the only transaction you ever pay
  for — everything after it is relayed by the operator. To fund the Safe from an
  exchange, another wallet or another network instead, open **Deposit from another
  network** under the deposit form for the address.

Because the funds are on-chain and controlled by your wallet, they remain
withdrawable and redeemable even if the operator is offline.

## Choosing a network

Your Safe has **the same address on every supported network**. The Wallet page shows a
**network picker** above your deposit address — the address stays the same whichever you
pick, labelled *Same address on every network*; only the notes under it change.

| Network | Minimum | Fee | Typical time |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Polygon** | None | None | About a minute |
| **Ethereum** | 20 USDC | Network gas, at most 10 USDC and at most 20% | About 15–20 minutes |
| **Base, Arbitrum, Optimism** | 5 USDC | Network gas, at most 10 USDC and at most 20% | About 15–20 minutes |

USDC sent on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum or Optimism is **bridged automatically** to the same
Safe on Polygon through Circle's CCTP, with no signature from you, and credited as a normal
Polygon deposit. Below the minimum it waits, and later deposits are combined with it. The
Wallet page shows the current minimum, fee estimate and arrival time for the network you
pick, and tracks each transfer until it is credited. When gas costs more than the caps
allow — mostly on Ethereum — the transfer waits and the Wallet page asks whether to bridge
now at the higher fee or wait for gas to drop; nothing above the cap is charged unless you
accept it. Deposit on Polygon to avoid the fee altogether. See
[Deposits from other networks](/non-custodial/deposits-from-other-networks) for how it
works and why it stays non-custodial.

<Warning>
  **Send USDC only.** Other tokens — ETH, USDT, bridged USDC such as USDC.e — and USDC on any network not in the picker, **including Solana**, are **not recovered automatically**. If the picker shows only Polygon, send USDC on Polygon only.
</Warning>

<Note>
  The live contract and token addresses for your network (USDC, the Conditional Token Framework, the exchange) are served by the app's CTF-config API — the app reads them per network rather than hard-coding them. See [Deployed addresses](/smart-contracts/deployed-addresses).
</Note>

## After funding

Once your Safe is funded you're ready to trade. Winning contracts pay **1.00 USDC per share** at
resolution, with **no fee at settlement** — your only trading cost is the taker
fee at the moment your order fills.
